People who are creators come from one place, and the technology people come from another place and there are very few people who actually understand both worlds.

Walter F. McDonough is the General Counsel and one of the founders of the Future of Music Coalition (FMC). The FMC is a non-profit research institute that examines the law, economics and technology of the music business and is renowned for its annual policy conference. Mr. McDonough is a practicing attorney in Boston and a former adjunct professor of copyright law at Suffolk University Law School.  He also serves as a board member on the United States performing rights society Sound Exchange and the AARC.
