Our MC for transmission 2011 will be Nora Young. Nora Young is the host and the creator of Spark, a technology show that airs nationally on CBC radio, and lives online at cbc.ca/spark. As a journalist and speaker, Nora explores the intersection of technology and culture: how new technology shapes the way we relate to each other, and to the world around us. In addition to her professional work, she’s an avid hobby podcaster (thesniffer.net) and a lazy blogger (norayoung.ca) on issues about technology and trends. She is currently writing a book, called The Data Map, to be published in 2011. When away from the computer, Nora loves teaching yoga, riding her bike, and being in nature. She lives in Toronto.
