MacPherson Theatre will be the reception venue for transmission: GLOBAL SUMMIT 2011 and will be held on Wednesday Feb 9th, 2011. This event will be the official reception for transmission: GLOBAL SUMMIT delegates and a special performance by Jets Overhead will be the main entertainment for the evening. The night will start with an intimate gathering for delegates and sponsors and the performance will be open to the public.

Club 9one9, the main showcase venue, is one of the most state of the art nightclubs in British Columbia, with cutting edge sound, lighting and video production. Transmit Live will produce two unique nights in this venue with a Live Electronic Showcase on Wednesday Feb 9th, 2011, and an Urban Showcase on Thursday Feb 10th, 2011. Canadian Artists who have been selected to perform are changing the landscape and setting the standard for live performances integrating different forms of digital media into their live performances.
// Legacy Art Gallery
Legacy Art Gallery will be the venue for an exclusive intimate artist showcase and video map installation. Classically trained recording artist Todor Kobakov will perform a private show for conference delegates, contest winners and invited guests. Todor will perform on a grand piano with a string quartet playing songs from his latest album for a very rare and unique performance.
// Hotel Rialto (Breve Bistro and Veneto Tapas Lounge)
The Hotel Rialto's Breve Bistro and Veneto Tapas Lounge will be the official artist & delegate lounge. This intimate and boutique venue will be the main meeting spot for delegates and artists throughout the conference & festival. The lounge will run from Wednesday Feb 9 through Friday Feb 11th, 2011. In collaboration with the New Forms Festival producers we will create an environment that embraces technology and revolutionizes the way people view the relationship between music and visual art.
