travel to Victoria

Victoria is located on Vancouver Island and is accessible by airplane, seaplane, and ferry.  Situated in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, travelling to and from Victoria will be one of your memorable experiences of transmission : GLOBAL SUMMIT 2012.

by air

Victoria International Airport (YYJ)

Victoria International Airport is the main airport for Victoria and Vancouver Island, and connects Victoria to destinations across Canada and the United States.  Several international airlines serve Victoria International Airport, including UnitedAir CanadaAlaska Airlines, etc.  Victoria International Airport offers connections to some of the major airports of the world, including:

  • 18 flights per day to Vancouver International Airport (YVR)
  • 3 flights per day to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)
  • 2 flights per day to San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

Victoria International Airport is a 30 minute cab ride from Downtown Victoria, where the hotel and conference venue is located.

by ferry

Victoria is accessible by ferry from Seattle and Vancouver.  As this picturesque ride cruises through several islands in the Pacific Northwest, it is not uncommon for passengers to see marine animals from the ferry, such as seals or killer whales.

From Vancouver

Through BCFerries, there are several sailings between Victoria (Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal) and Vancouver (Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal).  From either Victoria or Vancouver, BCFerries offers regular service every odd hour of the day, starting at 7:00am and ending at 9:00pm.  This ferry offers both passenger and automobile transport between Victoria and Vancouver.  The Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal is a 30 minute drive from Downtown Victoria, while the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal is a 25 minute drive from Vancouver International Airport and 35 minute drive from Downtown Vancouver.

From Seattle

Victoria is also easily accessible from Seattle via the Victoria Clipper passenger ferry, leaving several times daily from downtown Seattle to Victoria's Inner Harbour.
