Designing Long-term Prosperity in the Creative Industries

As a result of capacity issues over the past two years, transmission: GLOBAL SUMMIT (tGS) will expand capacity in 2013 and welcome 500 leaders, creators, entrepreneurs and academics from across the globe.

Next Spring, transmission will blend amazing people, artistic programming, and accelerated venture development through problem solving and collaborative design processes with the aim of bringing insight, intelligence, and forward-thinking solutions to those fearlessly making waves in the creative content ecosystem.

The event will include 3 days of interviews, roundtables and workshops, 1 week of venture development and mentoring, 4 nights of music, film, and media paired with fine local food and amazing BC wine.

Our signature facilitation design challenges thinkers and innovators to tackle complex problems and drill into “unsolvable” issues through the exchange of challenges, ideas, insights and aspirations. It will provide opportunities for stakeholders across North American, Asian and European markets to collaborate through a world-class facilitation processes geared to breaking down systemic silos and confronting “white elephants” in content driven industries.

The 2013 program will be comprised of the following three groups of activity:

transmitTALKS: A series of keynotes, workshops, symposiums and B2B activity where participants are all actively involved every minute of every day. This year is special as there will be a focus on creating real-time outputs/reports through the use of our new online knowledge-sharing tool that connects participant’s pre, during and post the event.

transmitFORGE: An international venture development program providing mentorship, model improvement , and network expansion expanding opportunities for funding, capacity building and increased market share.
