transmission.LIVE 2009 created opportunities for up-and-coming export-ready artists in the international marketplace.
This multi-venue festival, provided professionals with over 70% Canadian talent, complimented with international artists from the US, the UK, Australia, Scandinavia, China, Japan, and Eastern Europe. 25 export ready artists performed over four days in Victoria, BC. In 2009, transmisssion.LIVE introduced a new showcase platfrom that improved the experience for both artists and transmission particpants. A part of that new experience was our partnershipn with Rifflandia, an innovative music festival that debuted in 2008. The alliance strengthened both events and established a much stronger fan driven showcase. The combined impact of transmission.LIVE and Rifflanida resulted in over one hundred artists performing over four days in BC's capital.
